I was inspired by the Burren in Ireland because of its unique environment and terrain. Instead of creating a landscape, I wanted the piece to resemble a topographical map, giving the viewer a sense of walking through the ecosystem. To enhance the experience of taking a hike, the representation of the Burren will be displayed on the ground. Each time the piece is shown, it will appear slightly different to symbolize the effects of erosion.
